Hey all!

So I'll be back again running things tomorrow. miss me?
I'm pretty much recovered now though I still have to take things a bit easy.

Anime screening as usual 5 - 8 p.m in the PLT (as far as I'm aware)

We're going to be watching Durarara! eps 3 & 4 and possibly some live action nodame cantabile too :) so something new and something older.

We're also going to start measuring up for the group cosplay, I'll answer any of the usual quesions about conventions, cosplays and alsorts as well as telling you about things happening over valentines weekend and talking more about organising the next group karaoke.

Anime screening as usual tonight, 5 - 8 p.m in either the PLT or the SLT in LCC. Due to my own health reasons, and recovering from recent medical procedures I shall not be running tonight but I shall leave you in debbie's capable hands :3

I should return next week hopefully!
And I'm not entirely sure what debbie has planned for you all tonight so enjoy ;)

Tokyo Day is this weekend, if you check the events section of the forum its mentioned in the January 2010 events, Debbie will also be discussing this with you all to arrange a meet up for those interested :)

Hey all

Screening as usual tomorrow :) 5 - 8 p.m in the NEW location of the Podium Lecture Theatre in LCC.
The permenant move of venues for our screenings is due to the closure of the current student hub that will be happening at some point this term!

I'll be screening approx 4 episodes of 2 brand new series, I'm not going to tell you what they are just yet ;) you'll have to wait and see!! But it is brand new stuff... as in the current season of anime in japan!!
We'll also be drawing up further battle plans if you will of the cosplay situation, maybe even starting to work out patterns and hopefully organising a fabric shopping trip!

In addition to this I'm going to bring along some tasty treats to say happy new years to you all ;3 and we'll be talking about the intersociety anime quiz that is going to happen in march, as well as the possibility of doing a few more fun events.... I'm thinking some karaoke is in order..... perhaps even organising a big party!

Firstly a GIANT apology on my side of things, I was unable to make our first session this term and things are in chaos a little!! For myself there are some personal issues i'm dealing with this term so it may lead to me stepping down from my role of responsibility.
We've now moved to LCC for our screenings too due to the whole big move at the hub and everything going on.

I'm currently trying to pull together the plans for the next screening on monday! in which we'll also be trying to sort the group cosplay for the may MCM expo a lot more!!

We'll be watching 3 eps of toradora! this week (again due to demand / overall enjoyment!) plus the next 3 episodes are an exciting 3 parter! and we'll have 1 ep of Nyan Koi! too.

Other then that we'll have the usual social time and see about organising our christmas social of ice skating and karaoke!! See you there!

Sorry about the silence from me for the last week or so! I've been super busy with deadlines for things like dissertation, but service should be resuming as fairly normal now =]

and this week... instead of showing what I had originally timetabled we will be watching a whole 4 eps of toradora!
This is following the demand for the next episode at last weeks screening, I'm glad you're all enjoying it though =]

Other then that we'll be starting to plan and discuss our cosplay group for may mcm expo
And for those of you not into cosplay so much I will have some of the anime & manga library available as well as the letraset markers and pads!

Yup we're in the main lecture theatre again this week!
Its getting very close to Expo now.... if you haven't got your ticket off us yet speak to debbie at the games night, we still have a few left providing you've paid your membership!

Not 100% sure I can make it on thursday as being so close to Expo I have a lot of little things to finish off! But Y and debs will be there to take care of you all :)
Don't forget to check the forums too for details of what we're doing on the saturday of Expo!
And I guess if I don't see you all thursday.... see most of you early on sat morning !

The session after our screening will be a bit of a mix up of cosplay stuff and manga stuff as people like me have last minute cosplay things to finish i'm sure, but I know thats not everyones cup of tea so we'll have manga books and the letraset pens available for people not doing some intense cosplay based work!

Soul Eater

Perhaps a more "boyish" series after some of the things we've been watching recently! Action, comedy and shinigami's. Currently I'm not sure if we'll be screening eps 1, 2, 3 or 4, 5, 6 seeing as eps 1-3 are an introduction whereas 4-6 kick off the story! Either way we'll be watching 3 eps :)

We'll also be watching ep 5 of Toradora! and sorting out the expo tickets for those of you who signed up for them, make sure you have your £5 with you! Once everyone has their ticket we can also run over the plans for the days :D

we'll be ending the session with some manga stuff this time, so we'll have some manga for you to have a look at and letraset markers to use for your drawing pleasure. I'll also be launching a small contest :)
so with that onto what we're watching!

K-on!

K-on eps 1 , 2 and 3. A lighthearted and distinctly Moe series about a group of girls and the light music society, slice of life with comedy. It also has a very catchy intro and outro.

We'll also be continuing with Toradora, watching episode 4. Hopefully without some of the issues of last week!!
Hopefully we can also get the details of Expo sorted! :)
